Our client is seeking an experienced, proactive Litigation Paralegal for its Albuquerque, NM office. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience specializing in litigation, possessing the technical skills and adaptability required to support multiple cases simultaneously from inception through trial.
Job Responsibilities for the Litigation Paralegal:
- Review, gather, and organize client documents throughout the entire lifecycles of production and discovery.
- Assist attorneys in drafting pleadings, reviewing complex medical records, and preparing detailed medical chronologies.
- Support preparations for hearings, depositions, and mediations; assist with trial preparation by drafting pre-trial pleadings, preparing exhibits, and providing live trial support.
- Research, organize, and summarize records to assist in data gathering, ensuring all information is correctly updated within firm databases.
- Communicate productively and efficiently with clients, external contacts, attorneys, peer paralegals, and professional support staff.
Qualifications for the Litigation Paralegal:
- Minimum of 3+ years of dedicated experience working as a litigation-focused paralegal.
- Solid familiarity with New Mexico State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
- Proven experience drafting and organizing written discovery and managing document production.
- Practical experience preparing for and actively assisting at trial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal case management databases.
- Excellent analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication, exceptional attention to detail, and a resourceful, independent work ethic.
Compensation for the Litigation Paralegal:
$65,000 - $75,000 (Annually)
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
