Position Overview:
As a Parts Counter Associate, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our customers and technicians receive the right parts—on time and accurately. Your responsibilities will span inventory management, parts sourcing, order fulfillment, and client service across both the retail and service departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist retail customers and service technicians in selecting the correct parts
- Provide pricing, availability, and product information via phone or in person
- Review body shop estimates to ensure correct part ordering and pricing
- Process orders from stock and submit emergency orders for out-of-stock items
- Notify service advisors and customers when special-order parts arrive
- Ensure all parts are tagged correctly for delivery, pickup, or internal use
- Track and follow up on back-ordered items and update will-call files
- Maintain daily inventory replenishment and report shortages to the parts manager
- Issue credits for returned parts, ensuring accurate documentation
- Assist outside sales reps and respond to internal service part requests
- Keep parts counter areas clean and organized
- Clean terminals and equipment daily, and participate in all available training
- Support lost sales tracking and other department improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in an automotive dealership or parts department preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to read parts catalogs, estimates, and technical documents
- Basic math and computer proficiency, including inventory systems
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Team-oriented, dependable, and professional appearance required

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our FORD service team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive repair and maintenance, with a strong focus on diagnostics, mechanical systems, and customer service. This role offers the opportunity to work with a variety of vehicle makes and models, including Ford vehicles, and to utilize advanced tools and techniques to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety. Candidates should possess a comprehensive understanding of automotive electrical systems, transmissions, diesel engines, and other key components. A commitment to quality workmanship and excellent customer service is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive schematics and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrain, suspension, alignment, brakes, shocks & struts, and tire services.
- Repair or replace components such as air brakes, diesel engines, electrical systems, and auto body parts as needed.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs such as oil changes, wheel alignments, welding, and electrical work.
- Service vehicles by performing oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, suspension work, and other routine maintenance tasks.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed using auto estimating software; communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and timelines.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Keep the work area clean and organized to promote safety and efficiency.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive repair is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), auto electrical systems, transmissions, powertrain components, and diesel engine repair.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus.
- Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Experience with auto body repair, welding, alignment services, suspension systems, shocks & struts replacement, tire service, brake repair, and auto estimating software.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in hand tools and power tools necessary for automotive service tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain repairs clearly to clients. This position requires a motivated individual who is committed to delivering high-quality automotive repairs while providing outstanding customer service. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented with strong technical skills across various vehicle systems and repair techniques.
