We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our talented Ob/Gyn team. The right candidate is caring, hardworking and has experience working in private practice.
Responsibilities:
- Triages patient telephone calls and gathers information for providers.
- Schedules same day appointments
- OB consults-screening new OB patients for risks of genetic problems, high risk OB problems, and notifying physicians. Includes education of patient on good nutrition practices in pregnancy, exercise guidelines, available childbirth classes, breast/bottle feeding options, etc.
- Obtains complete medical history on OB patients.
- Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Provides patient education.
- Maintains and reviews patients records, charts, and other pertinent information.
- Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
- Communicate with physicians and other medical staff members.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by a doctor.
- Take and record vital signs.
- Communicate with patients both verbally and in writing to answer questions.
