American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a CVOR position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active GA or compact RN license.

Work setting is a hospital CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) unit
-
Primary schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts (6:30–19:00), with one 8-hour shift (6:30–15:00) every other week
-
On-call required approximately 1 day per week and 1 weekend every 4 weeks, subject to change based on departmental needs

Weekend coverage is included in call requirements

Floating within scope of practice to the Main OR as needed

Active GA or compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of CVOR or cardiovascular OR nursing experience required

All relevant certifications must be current and copies provided for consideration

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Local candidates are accepted for this position

Candidates must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler

RTO is capped at 7 days and cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment

Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must work 2 of them and may request 1 holiday off for approval

Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counted as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counted as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counted as 1)

No schedule change requests or alternate shift arrangements are permitted — the posted shift is firm

Travel pairs will not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit

Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed on time; delays will result in a 2-week pushback due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule
