Location: Spring Valley, NY
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM (4PM Friday) | 49 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance workups.
- Troubleshoot and repair defects on all vehicle systems including suspension, drivetrain, wheels/breaks, electrical, etc.
- Prepare and service select vehicles for weekly NYSDOT inspections.
- Responds to and troubleshoots in-the-yard and on-the-road breakdowns.
- Monitors and maintains fluid levels and other consumables of assigned vehicles.
- Address driver-reported defects with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Reports major mechanical issues to supervisor and follows-up as directed.
- Maintain accurate vehicle service records.
- Assists with snow removal/salting.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a technician or fleet mechanic
- Ability to prioritize tasks with the support of our shop foreman.
- Basic knowledge of all automotive systems including chassis, electrical, fluids, AC/Heat, drivetrain, engine, suspension, etc.
- ASE certifications or specialty vehicle experience are a plus.
- Dependable problem-solver who can adapt in real-time
- Diesel experience a plus but not required (we have both diesel and gas vehicles)
Requirements
- Possess a complete mechanic's toolset. Specialty tools will be provided.
- Good attitude and drive to solve problems.
- This is a safety-sensitive position and requires a DOT pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check.
- Have or be able to obtain a class B CDL with P and S endorsements.
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay: $80,000 – $85,000 annually (hourly based)

Preferred Experience:
- At least 1 year of hands-on mechanic experience (preferred, but not required)
