American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/Progressive Care Unit position requiring strong cardiac monitoring skills, an AL or compact RN license, and every-other-weekend availability.

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a community hospital setting
-
Patient population includes cardiac and telemetry patients requiring step-down level care
-
Patient ratio of 1:5
-
Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
-
Required to float to Med/Surg units
-
Every other weekend required
-
Experience in MS/Tele, Telemetry, and PCU/Step-down work settings required
-
Active AL RN license or compact RN license required; pending license accepted
-
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
-
Strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
-
Ability to start IVs, manage Heparin protocols, and manage cardiac drips (no titration) required
-
Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
-
Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care
-
Experience with non-invasive airway management and oxygen administration
-
Experience with Rapid Response/Code team protocols
-
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
