Position Summary
Assists pharmacist in the distribution of medication for pharmacy. Responsibilities include inventory control, narcotic record keeping, TPN calculations and chemotherapeutic medication preparation.
Minimum Position Requirements
Work Experience:

Previous work experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
License/Registration/Certification:
-
Current registration for Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.

Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) approved Sterile Compounding Certification Required for Hire with a minimum 40 hours of training completed

I.V. Certification completed within 3 months of hire.
Education and Training:

High School graduate or GED equivalent.

Graduation from a Pharmacy Technician program preferred.
Skills:

Possess knowledge of drug names, medical terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, and different pharmacy work areas and equipment used.
