Under general supervision, this position is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of global logistics strategies, processes, and tools.
Participates in the continuous improvement and execution of global logistics initiatives and processes including forward and reverse logistics, return to vendor (RTV), analysis and reporting, processing and supporting Global Shipping and Receiving transitions as needed, new process development and provides administrative and technical support to the global logistics senior leadership team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides administrative and technical support to the senior Global Logistics management team.
- Participates in planning and executing global logistics strategies and establishing standard logistics processes and tools.
- Coordinates and supports global logistics activities for selected projects and people, including logistics planning, training, supply chain activities from the point of manufacturing through final delivery, warehousing, shipping and receiving, and internal/external customer service.
- Performs daily transactions in SAP (QN’s, Goods receipts, Goods Issues and Returns to Vendor).
- Track and maintains lot and/or serial-controlled materials in SAP, ensuring full traceability.
- Coordinates with Planning, Purchasing, Production Control, Quality, and Demand Management to resolve material issues.
- Processes inbound deliveries and goods receipts in SAP against Purchase Orders.
- Verifies incoming materials against documentation; coordinates with Quality for inspections or holds.
- Processes return to stock, nonconforming material, and scrap in SAP according to established procedures.
- Releases Re-Work Work Orders.
- Completes and distributes standard SAP reports to support QN’s, Audits, and Management reviews.
- Serves as a resource for SAP processes for junior staff and new team members.
- Assist in documenting and improving standard work instructions for SAP QN and Receiving Transactions.
- Identifies logistics issues and participates in developing solutions to a variety of moderately complex problems while referring to standard policies, procedures and practices.
- May participate in progress planning and review sessions to discuss costs, schedule, and operational performance
- Develops, maintains and distributes key performance metrics and analysis.
- Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
