Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer with strong C#, REST API, and OpenTravel Alliance (OTA) experience. This role will be responsible for building a new REST API to process the OTA 2017 standard, while working within an existing environment that currently supports OTA 2007 and OTA 2010. The ideal candidate will bring extensive backend development experience along with hands-on experience implementing OTA standards and travel industry integrations.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement a new REST API to process the OpenTravel Alliance (OTA) 2017 standard
- Support and enhance existing integrations utilizing OTA 2007 and OTA 2010 standards
- Develop scalable backend applications and services using C#
- Design and develop REST APIs and integrate with existing enterprise systems
- Work with MS SQL and NoSQL databases to support application and integration requirements
- Develop and deploy solutions within AWS or Azure cloud environments
- Work with Kubernetes for containerized application deployment and management
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure compatibility between existing OTA implementations and the new OTA 2017 API
- Participate in application design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and production support
- Apply Test Driven Development (TDD) practices where appropriate
- Work with existing SOAP services and integrations as needed
Required:
- 8+ years of experience as a Java Developer
- 6+ years of REST API development experience
- 6+ years of experience with MS SQL
- 3+ years of OpenTravel Alliance (OTA) experience, preferably OTA 2017 with a minimum of OTA 2010 experience
- 1+ year of experience with AWS or Azure
- Experience working with Kubernetes
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB, DynamoDB, or similar technologies
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
