We are seeking a seasoned therapist to join our small private practice group! The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of private practice systems and culture. This role involves working with individuals, couples, and families to assess their needs, build relationships, and develop effective treatment plans. The ability to build trusting and long lasting relationships with your patients is a must. Experience with children, couples and family counseling is a plus!
The position offers the freedom and independence of your own practice but without the headache of managing expenses, marketing, and billing...and provides other professionals to collaborate with as needed!
This position is best suited for a confident and independent person who appreciates flexibility, autonomy of practice, and who cherishes using psychotherapy skills and creative techniques to build strong relationships with clients. Our clients are motivated and invested in the therapy process - many engage with us over a year or more!!
Opportunities for supervisory roles with trainees and interns are available for additional compensation for candidates with 5 years post full licensure!!

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Provide individual therapy sessions focusing on evidence based techniques and interventions.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to support patients in distressing situations.
- Manage case files (EHR platform) and maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Collaborate with colleagues and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care within the community when needed.
- Advocate for patients' needs within the healthcare system and connect them with appropriate resources.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Engage the community through regular outreach opportunities, social media, and blog posting.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Professional Counseling, Counseling Psychology, and/or Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure with 3+ years experience post graduation.
- Familiarity working with clients across the lifespan is a plus.
- Familiarity with children and couples counseling is a plus.
- Strong skills in patient assessment and diagnostics.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations and LGBTQIA clients.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated and independent.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
