Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial and residential spaces, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal
- Operate floor care equipment such as buffers and polishers to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks in large-scale facilities, ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards
- Assist with janitorial duties like restocking supplies and sanitizing restrooms and common areas
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for fixtures, flooring, or equipment
- Provide custodial support during special projects such as deep cleaning or carpet extraction
- Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and thoroughly
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a focus on commercial or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance procedures and basic repair skills
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality cleanliness standards
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and moving equipment
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report maintenance issues promptly
