Job Summary
The Medical Compliance Assistant supports healthcare compliance programs by helping ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies. This role assists with audits, documentation reviews, training coordination, and monitoring processes to promote regulatory compliance within a healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in monitoring compliance with healthcare laws, regulations, and organizational policies
- Maintain compliance records, reports, logs, and documentation
- Support internal audits, inspections, and corrective action follow up
- Review forms, files, and procedures for completeness and regulatory accuracy
- Track licenses, certifications, and required staff training renewals
- Help coordinate compliance training sessions and employee communications
- Research regulatory updates and report changes to management
- Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and resolution tracking
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and presentations for compliance leadership
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient and employee information

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred
- Previous healthcare, compliance, or administrative experience preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, Medicare/Medicaid, and healthcare regulations preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems
