Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, grooming, and hygiene.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.
- Provide companionship through engaging conversations, activities, and social interaction.
- Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Assist with mobility and transfers; lift clients safely when necessary.
- Monitor and document changes in client behavior or health status, reporting any concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Uphold resident rights by promoting dignity and respect in all interactions.
- Provide memory care support for clients experiencing cognitive challenges.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of care plans and patient care principles is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Understanding of resident rights and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to assist with physical tasks such as lifting and transferring clients safely.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate client needs is essential.
