Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Agricultural Truck Driver to transport agricultural products, equipment, seed, fertilizer, chemicals, and other materials between farms, elevators, processing facilities, suppliers, and customer locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent driving record, and the ability to work efficiently during peak planting and harvest seasons.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles, including semi-trucks, grain trailers, hopper bottoms, tankers, flatbeds, and other agricultural transportation equipment.
- Transport grain, fertilizer, seed, chemicals, feed, and other agricultural products safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload products using augers, conveyors, pumps, forklifts, and other equipment as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logbooks, mileage reports, and shipping documentation.
- Follow all DOT, FMCSA, company, and agricultural safety regulations.
- Assist with warehouse, grain handling, fertilizer operations, or farm activities when transportation duties are not required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, farmers, and management regarding schedules and delivery status.
- Monitor vehicle performance and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of vehicles and equipment.
- Support seasonal operations during planting, harvest, and other peak agricultural periods.
Qualifications Required:
- Valid CDL Class A license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
- Knowledge of safe vehicle operation and transportation regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and seasonal overtime when necessary.
Preferred:
- Previous agricultural, farming, grain handling, or agronomy experience.
- Tanker endorsement and/or Hazmat endorsement.
- Experience hauling grain, fertilizer, seed, or agricultural chemicals.
- Forklift, loader, or other heavy equipment operating experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
- Ability to climb ladders and access trailers and equipment.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in dusty, noisy, and outdoor environments.

Pay: $62,500.00 - $66,500.00 per year
