We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior AR / Appeals & Denial Analyst to join our team in Plano, TX. Key Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and resolve denied or underpaid hospital claims
- Prepare and submit detailed medical appeals to maximize reimbursement outcomes
- Follow up with insurance carriers, payors, and healthcare providers regarding claim status and payment resolution
- Process and interpret UB-04 hospital claims accurately and efficiently
- Apply knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD diagnosis codes, modifiers, and medical terminology
- Navigate all stages of the revenue cycle, including authorizations, billing, appeals, and collections
- Interpret payor contracts and reimbursement methodologies
- Maintain accurate documentation and account notes within internal systems
- Meet or exceed established productivity, quality, and recovery benchmarks
- Collaborate with internal departments to support timely and effective claim resolution
- Adapt quickly to new systems, technologies, and workflow processes
QualificationsRequired
- 5–10 years of experience in hospital billing, accounts receivable, collections, and appeals
- Strong background in denied claims management and complex collections
- Extensive understanding of hospital revenue cycle operations
- Experience working with commercial insurance payors and reimbursement policies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- High attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Windows-based systems and healthcare billing platform
