We're looking for compassionate, energetic, and dependable professionals to join our DreamTeam as a Destiny Associate (DSP).

Position Overview
As a Destiny Associate, you will serve as a mentor, coach, advocate, and role model for the individuals we support. Working primarily in the field, you will assist DreamLifers (clients) with developing independent living skills, engaging in their communities, building social connections, and achieving personal goals.
This is not a desk job. Approximately 95% of your time will be spent working directly with individuals in their homes, communities, workplaces, and at social events throughout the Twin Cities metro area.
Using our Person-First Approach, you will help individuals discover their strengths, overcome barriers, build confidence, and create fulfilling lives.
What You'll Do
Independent Living Supports
Help individuals build and maintain the skills necessary for independent living, including:
- Budgeting and financial literacy
- Meal planning and cooking
- Household organization and cleaning
- Home maintenance and safety
- Time management and healthy routines
- Goal setting and accountability
Community Integration
Support individuals in becoming active participants in their communities by:
- Transporting or accompanying individuals to appointments, volunteer opportunities, recreational activities, and social events
- Encouraging participation in community programs and activities
- Building natural supports and community connections
- Promoting inclusion, confidence, and self-determination
Social Development & Relationship Building
- Utilize positive role modeling and coaching techniques
- Support communication and self-advocacy skill development
- Help individuals overcome social anxiety and build confidence
- Foster meaningful friendships and community relationships
- Encourage personal growth and independence
Service Delivery
Provide support within:
- Individualized Home Supports (IHS)
- Individualized Home Supports Remotes (IHS)
- Independent Living Services
- Employment Services
- 24-Hour Emergency Assistance
- Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS)
Documentation & Professional Development
- Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation
- Track progress toward individual goals
- Utilize field applications and technology platforms
- Attend required training and staff meetings
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities
Schedule
Part-Time Position
- Daytime hours available
- Some evening hours required
- Every other weekend availability required
- Flexible scheduling based on client needs
- No overnight shifts
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental health needs, or related human service populations
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable vehicle and proof of insurance
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Twin Cities metro area
- Ability to pass all required background studies
- Comfortable working in homes with pets and support animals
- Proficiency with computers, mobile applications, and electronic documentation systems
Preferred
- Experience providing Individualized Home Supports (IHS)
- Knowledge of person-centered practices
- Experience with employment or community-based services
- CPR/First Aid certification
