Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Full-Time Waitress to join our vibrant restaurant team! Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards are maintained at all times
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest seating efficiently
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings and cocktail options to elevate the guest experience
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly
- Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries professionally and ensuring their needs are met with enthusiasm
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience with fine dining or upscale restaurants is a plus
- Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail mixing, and food safety practices is desirable
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Experience in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Prior experience in bussing tables or hosting/hostess roles is beneficial
