Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and grills safely and efficiently to facilitate food production.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures rigorously to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Assist with food handling, portioning, and plating to ensure timely service during high-volume periods.
- Support menu planning by suggesting new pizza flavors or toppings based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
- Maintain proper food storage practices, including braising, poaching, and other cooking techniques necessary for ingredient preparation.
- Adhere strictly to recipe guidelines and food safety standards while preparing meals for dine-in or catering events.
Experience
- Prior dietary aide experience or food service background preferred; experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is highly valued.
- Demonstrated skills in food preparation techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal assembly.
- Proven ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a high-volume production environment.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices, including sanitizing procedures and proper food handling protocols.
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and catering services enhances your suitability for this role.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with culinary techniques used in the food industry are advantageous.
- Previous kitchen experience in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment is highly desirable for success in this position.
