Position Overview
The Dental Receptionist / Treatment Coordinator is responsible for managing front office operations, coordinating patient treatment plans, and ensuring a positive patient experience. This role serves as the primary point of contact for patients while supporting the clinical team with scheduling, insurance coordination, and financial arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Patient Relations
- Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records in dental software
- Manage patient flow and assist with daily schedule optimization
Treatment Coordination
- Review and explain treatment plans to patients
- Present financial options and payment plans
- Coordinate appointments for multi-visit procedures
- Follow up with unscheduled treatment and pending care
- Educate patients on recommended dental treatments
Insurance & Financial Coordination
- Verify dental insurance benefits
- Submit and track insurance claims and pre-authorizations
- Estimate patient out-of-pocket costs
- Post insurance payments and patient payments
- Resolve insurance claim issues and denials
Office Operations
- Maintain patient charts and documentation
- Assist with recall systems and hygiene scheduling
- Coordinate communication between clinical and front office teams
- Support marketing and patient retention initiatives
Qualifications
- Experience in a dental office 2+ years
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, etc.)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 22.0 – 32.0 per week
