Role Summary / Purpose
The Inventory Control Clerk I plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring material movement is tracked efficiently and correctly. This is an entry-level position designed to build foundational skills in inventory control, accuracy, and organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and thrives in a hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily inventory counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
- Support cycle counting and material reconciliation efforts.
- Verify material receipts and maintain organized stock areas.
- Tag, label, and store inventory items accurately.
- Communicate shortages, overages, or damaged materials to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in designated inventory zones.
- Collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure material availability.
Successful Key Results
- Maintain 98% or higher inventory accuracy in assigned areas.
- Complete assigned cycle counts on time each week.
- Ensure all materials are clearly labeled and organized daily.
- Communicate discrepancies promptly and effectively.
- Demonstrate consistent improvement in understanding ERP (Titan) transactions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0–1 year of experience in inventory, warehouse, or related field.
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with inventory software a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork mindset.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in an outdoor/industrial environment.
