Jordan Bank School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Kindergarten Teacher for a voluntary transfer opportunity. This full-time position is open exclusively to current employees within the district. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of kindergarten students.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help each child reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with fellow educators, specialists, and support staff to enhance the educational experience and address individual student needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and ways to support learning at home.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom that reflects the values and goals of Jordan Bank School.
- Uphold school policies and procedures, and contribute to a positive school culture and community.
Requirements
- Current employment within the district and eligibility for voluntary transfer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Valid PA teaching certification for early childhood education
- Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies for young learners.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and engage positively with families.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment for all students.
- Previous experience in a kindergarten or early childhood setting is preferred.
