Job Overview
Under general direction of the Enterprise Sustainability Programs Manager, the Sustainability Project Manager develops and implements policies and procedures, enterprise sustainability programs, strategic partnerships and collaborations and performance monitoring programs for the DFW Airport Board. Coordinates with other departments, business units, engineers and consultants to develop and enhance programs that promote sustainability in accordance with the Board’s policies.
What you will be doing:
Develops, enhances, implements, and administers policies and procedures in advancement of Airport Board sustainability initiatives.
Assists Board personnel involved in the maintenance and operation of facilities and systems through training, development of sustainable and environmental maintenance programs and providing technical assistance in analyzing and solving problems.
Assists Board personnel involved in creating and maintaining sustainable asset standards.
Implements and administers consultant contracts in support of sustainable and environmental programs pertaining to Energy, Transportation & Asset Management.
Assists the Enterprise Sustainability Programs Manager in identifying and prioritizing areas for Board sustainability efforts.
Analyzes and evaluates the efficiency, effectiveness, and results of sustainability initiatives.
Develops and maintains tools, metrics, and indicators for assessing progress towards sustainability goals.
What you need:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, architecture, business administration, public administration or a related field.
Five (5) years of experience implementing and/or managing sustainability, environmental or other programs of similar scope and nature.
Any equivalent combination of relevant and responsible work experience, technical or continuing education, evaluated on a case-by-case basis, may be substituted for the degree.
Possession of a valid class C driver's license.
Special Requirement:
Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1500 et. Al. and DFW Airport’s Airport Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.
This is a designated safety sensitive position as defined in DFW Airport’s Drug and Alcohol Administrative Policy and Procedure. Applicants selected for this position will be required to pass a drug screening test prior to employment and to submit to drug screening on a random basis during the length of their employment in the safety sensitive position.
This is a designated essential employee position as defined in the Categories and Classifications of Employees Policy of the Airport Administrative Policy and Procedure. This is defined as an employee whose attendance is required to maintain airport operations during an emergency or inclement weather situation.
