QUALIFICATIONS:
- Meets the State’s Manager Registration requirements
- High School diploma or GED certificate
- Ability to read, write, work math and apply reasoning skills
- Minimum of two (2) years of progressive trade experience
- Ability to plan, organize and supervise assigned personnel
- Ability to work tactfully and harmoniously with school, staff, agencies, parents, and the public
- Physical stamina and emotional stability to work effectively
- Excellent physical and mental health
- Neat, well groomed appearance
REPORTS TO: Food and Nutrition Services Manager
SUPERVISES: Assigned personnel
JOB GOAL: Working under the Food and Nutrition Services Manager, supervises preparation
and serving of meals; assists in compiling and maintaining required daily records;
prepares and serves food when needed; supervises and assists with cleaning as
needed
TERM: Nine and one quarter (9.25) months
SALARY: Food Service Salary Schedule – Assistant Manager
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervises and coordinates activities of workers who prepare, cook, and serve food, clean
premises and wash dishware and assists in preparing, serving, cleaning and dishwashing as
needed
2. Assists with counting and wrapping money and preparing daily bank deposit
3. Assists in ordering groceries, meats, supplies, and equipment when needed
4. Performs related duties as required and assigned by manager
5. Assumes duties of manager when manager is absent
