Under the direction of the Supervisor I of the Operations Unit, in the Admin Office part of the Compliance Division within the Department of Cannabis Control, the Analyst II will act as the personnel liaison for the Division. The incumbent will perform a variety of the most complex, highly sensitive administrative functions including personnel and policy analysis within an assigned region; however, may be required to conduct business throughout the State of California.

What You’ll Do:
Personnel Liaison & HR Support
Serve as the Division’s lead personnel liaison with the Department's Human Resources Branch—reviewing personnel requests, preparing Request for Personnel Action packages, supporting position management, coordinating interviews and on boarding needs, and maintaining personnel and recruitment records. Provide salary updates and position control information for budget reconciliation.
Policy & Procedure Development
Analyze and improve policies and procedures, support Division Informational Notices and Standard Operating Procedures work groups, draft updates, and create templates and guides to ensure clear and consistent administrative practices.
Operational & Administrative Support
Coordinate Division training logistics, assist with timesheet auditing, on boarding/off boarding, and records management. Support special projects, drills, and procedural documents, and help monitor the Division Admin inbox.

Engage in ongoing training and activities that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
