OFF-ROAD TRAILER ASSEMBLER
SasquatchXC, or SXC for short, designs, manufactures, and sells expedition campers capable of accessing remote, rugged terrain. The Off-Road Trailer Assembler II will join a team of builders who take pride in their work.
Summary:
The Off-Road Trailer Assembler assumes a pivotal role in the building and assembly processes of expedition campers and associated products at SXC. This position not only encompasses technical craftsmanship but also emphasizes exceptional customer service. Candidates are expected to warmly greet visitors, provide comprehensive tours of our facilities, and assist customers with inquiries. Essential Functions:
· Execute advanced assembly tasks such as precision gluing and fastening of interior and exterior panels, intricate assembly of frame, body, and kitchen components, meticulous 12v wiring, and integration of sophisticated lighting and electronics systems.
· Extend exemplary hospitality to visitors, delivering exceptional facility tours, promptly addressing phone inquiries, and assisting customers with product-related queries.
· Assist with inventory management protocols for purchased components, ensuring low inventory levels are communicated to Purchasing.
· Enforce adherence to Quality Assurance procedures and conduct meticulous Quality Control inspections.
· Promptly escalate any non-conformity issues to management and implement corrective measures as required.
· Prioritize tasks to optimize productivity and efficiency throughout the assembly process.
· Monitor and communicate concerns regarding deadlines, design discrepancies, supply chain disruptions, or equipment requirements to management.
· Foster positive interpersonal relationships with fellow team members.
· Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication with management and colleagues.
· Uphold immaculate workstations, championing the principles of 5S methodology.
· Assume accountability for performance and uphold exacting standards of workmanship.
· Undertake additional responsibilities and provide support to other departments as directed by management.
Minimum Requirements:
· Experience in comprehending and executing detailed instructions, customer specifications, and test procedures.
· 1-2 years’ experience of precision measurement, cutting, drilling, and installation techniques, adhering to stringent tolerances.
· Basic knowledge and experience with 12v electrical systems, including wiring and installation of electrical components and building electrical cables.
· Competence in operating power tools safely, including saws, sanders, drills, and grinders.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
· Dexterity in handling hand tools, testing equipment, and computers.
· Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and adeptness in troubleshooting.
· Adaptability to a dynamic work environment, embracing changes in toolboxes, workstations, and 5S initiatives.
· Proactive communication of time-off requests to facilitate effective planning.
· Preferred experience in a manufacturing or construction setting.
· High School Diploma required; Trade School or fabrication experience preferred.

Pay starts at $20-$22/hr depending on experience, with 4x10 work schedule (M-Th).
