MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s* degree in public or business administration or a related role.
- 4 years of experience in office administration or a related role.
- Approved work experience beyond that required which provides equivalent
knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered and substituted for the stated
education.
- Have and maintain a valid Driver’s License, as well as meet eligibility requirements of
“acceptable driving standards” as defined by the County.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse individuals.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite and other software related to data
management, communication, and other common business processes.
- Ability to follow established policies and procedures for confidentiality while adapting to
evolving privacy standards and technologies.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships within a team.
- Ability to understand, interpret, explain, and apply County policies and procedures.
- Ability to supervise, train, and motivate employees.
- Knowledge of office administration, records management, and administrative support
functions.
- Knowledge of budgeting, financial tracking, purchasing, and fiscal accountability practices.
- Skill in budget preparation, expenditure monitoring, and financial reporting.
- Skill in preparing reports, correspondence, and operational documentation.
- Ability to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate administrative operations and support
services.
- Ability to comply with Civil Service policies and regulations, collective bargaining
agreements, county policies, and laws.
