Job Summary

Duties
- Perform professional barbering services such as haircuts, straight razor shaves, beard trims, and hair styling tailored to client preferences.
- Utilize salon software and MINDBODY systems to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process transactions efficiently.
- Provide expert advice on hair care, hair coloring, hair extensions, and retail product recommendations to enhance client satisfaction.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with industry regulations, including proper sterilization of tools like straight razors.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, offer styling suggestions, and ensure a positive experience from start to finish.
- Assist with front desk responsibilities such as greeting clients, managing walk-ins, and handling retail sales with upselling techniques.
- Mentor junior team members on haircutting techniques, retail strategies, and customer service excellence to foster a collaborative environment.
Experience
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license required; experience working in the beauty industry is highly preferred.
- Proven expertise in barbering techniques including straight razor shaves and traditional grooming styles.
- Strong knowledge of hair coloring, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application is a plus.
- Familiarity with salon software platforms such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and client management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and provide personalized recommendations.
- Experience in retail sales and upselling strategies to promote products like hair care items and styling tools.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining a safe salon environment.
