About Chillout
Chillout CBD & Wellness is a brand-new premium CBD, hemp, and wellness boutique opening in The Village of Sterling Ridge in The Woodlands.
We’re building something different from the traditional CBD or smoke shop. Chillout is designed for the upscale Woodlands market — combining thoughtfully selected CBD and hemp products, wellness, relaxation, self-care, and elevated lifestyle goods in a welcoming retail environment.
As a new company, we’re looking for more than employees. We’re building our founding team.
The people who join us now will have the opportunity to help shape the culture of Chillout, build relationships with our first customers, and help turn a neighborhood boutique into a household name in The Woodlands and beyond.
The Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, personable Retail Sales Associate who has a genuine interest in CBD, hemp, cannabis wellness, and alternative wellness products.
This is a customer-focused position. Our goal isn't simply to sell products — it's to understand why someone walked through our doors and help them find products that best fit their needs, preferences, and lifestyle.
Customers may be exploring products for relaxation, sleep, recovery, everyday wellness, or simply looking for something new. You should be comfortable listening, asking thoughtful questions, explaining products clearly, and creating an experience that makes customers want to come back.
You do not need to know everything about CBD on day one. Curiosity, enthusiasm, professionalism, and a willingness to learn matter enormously.
What You'll Do
- Welcome customers and create a friendly, elevated retail experience
- Learn our selection of premium CBD, hemp, wellness, and lifestyle products
- Help customers navigate different product types and find options suited to their needs and preferences
- Clearly explain product ingredients, formats, usage, and differences
- Build genuine relationships with customers and encourage repeat business
- Stay informed about new products and developments in the CBD and wellness space
- Operate the POS system and handle customer transactions
- Receive, organize, and merchandise inventory
- Maintain a clean, organized, visually appealing store
- Help us learn what our customers want and identify products we should consider carrying
- Contribute ideas as we develop Chillout's events, community presence, merchandising, and customer experience
- Help establish the standards and culture that future Chillout employees will follow
Who We're Looking For
We'd love to meet someone who is:
- 21 years of age or older
- Genuinely interested in CBD, hemp, cannabis culture, wellness, or alternative wellness
- Friendly, confident, approachable, and comfortable talking with customers
- A strong listener who enjoys helping people find the right product
- Professional enough to serve an upscale clientele while still being relaxed and personable
- Curious and eager to learn about new products
- Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Comfortable working independently when necessary
- Excited about joining a new company rather than simply clocking into another retail job
Previous experience in premium retail, wellness, beauty/skincare, hospitality, cannabis/hemp retail, supplements, or specialty retail is a plus, but not required for the right person.
