Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Safety & Security Tech to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, implementing and overseeing safety protocols, and providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
Provides leadership and direction of the Organizations Quality Assurance, Safety and Security Programs.
Ensures compliance with laws and regulations governing Quality, Safety and Security standards.
Manages and strives for an overall company commitment to high standards of service, quality and environmentally correct and safe operations.
Education and/or experience
A considerable amount of work-related skill, knowledge or experience is required.
Certifications and Training required in Quality systems such as BRC and Food Safety Guidelines
Certifications and Training in Safety required.
Prior experience in Food security a plus.
Qualifications

Responsibilities
Evaluates food processing and storage operations to ensure quality standards are met.
Monitors performance of quality systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
Communicates quality control procedures to all organizational departments.
Prepares, collects, and analyzes information for compliance audits and serves as point of contact for auditors.
Inspects plant and warehouse operational areas to ensure compliance with government regulations and standards.
Plans, develops, provides, and monitors training and staff development programs and maintains records.
Supervises, trains, and evaluates quality, safety, and security staff.
Responsible for the supervision of staff who collect and analyze production samples to evaluate quality of coffee.
Maintain and improve product quality, through continuous improvement, by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits.
Plan, direct and coordinate security staff, and activities to safeguard company assets, employees, guests, and others on company property.
Review and evaluate work environments and design programs and procedures to control, eliminate or prevent workplace accidents and injuries. Supervises staff who conduct inspections of workplace accidents and injuries. Recommends procedures for prevention and implements them.
Prepare monthly safety, security, and quality metrics (KPIs) and distribute this information to all department managers for review.
Updates job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Investigate, provide direction for review and approving deviations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), risk assessments, and effectiveness checks.
Maintain inventory accuracy and integrity through routine cycle and stock audits.
Performs other duties as assigned.
