Location: Ann Arbor
Language Adventure is looking for dedicated and reliable Spanish instructors for after school classes. Our program offers a highly interactive curriculum that engages children in conversation and fun activities. We look for candidates who love kids, have excellent Spanish language skills, and preferably with classroom experience or at least in a school, summer camp, preschool or daycare. We give priority to those who can teach at least two days per week. Pay is per class, not hourly.
Job highlights:
- Grades: K-4, average class size is 12 students
- Part-time: 2-8 hours per week, max 2 hours p/day
- Day/s: openings everyday, from Monday to Friday (each day is an independent class)
- Time: 3:35-5:35 PM (class is from 3:50-5:30 PM)
- Location: at multiple Ann Arbor Public Schools
- Fall Session: 8 weeks, to begin mid-September
- Lesson plans and materials provided
Salary: starts at $65.00 p/class (not hourly), depending on qualifications and experience
Requirements:
- Excellent command of the Spanish language
- Experience working with children in a group setting, preferably a school
- Good classroom management skills
- Dependable, energetic, and flexible
- Pass a background check
