Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sushi dishes, including rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and specialty creations, ensuring each piece meets quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Source fresh ingredients daily and manage inventory to minimize waste while ensuring availability of supplies.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop new menu items that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
- Ensure consistency in taste, appearance, and portion sizes across all dishes served.
- Uphold the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Helper within a busy restaurant or culinary setting.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi techniques, and ingredient handling.
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in food presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices.
