Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a
Maintenance Technician II with our medical device client in Grand Rapids, MI. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay: $30.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
Schedule: 3rd Shift role
will be training on the 1st shift for the first 2-3 weeks, then transitioning to 3rd shift
- 1 st shift 6:30am – 2:30pm
- 3 rd shift 10-30pm – 6:30am
Description:
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing or plant equipment.
- Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.
- Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs. Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.
- May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.
- May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.
Qualifications:
- College degree preferred, though not required; high school diploma required.
- 2+ years of experience performing maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting of manufacturing, production, or industrial equipment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to read schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and equipment manuals to diagnose and repair equipment failures.
- Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment, with the ability to independently perform preventative/corrective maintenance and accurately document repairs and maintenance activities.
