Perle Mesta, the signature restaurant of James Beard Award-winning Chef Andrew Black inside Oklahoma City’s historic Skirvin Hotel, is seeking a warm, polished, and dependable AM Host / Guest Experience Lead to join our front-of-house team.
As the first and last point of contact for our guests, this position plays an important role in setting the tone for the dining experience. We are looking for someone who is naturally welcoming, highly organized, comfortable communicating with a wide range of guests, and able to maintain composure and attention to detail during busy breakfast and brunch service.

Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.
- Manage the host stand and maintain awareness of arriving, waiting, and departing guests.
- Coordinate reservations, walk-ins, and table assignments to support an organized and efficient flow of service.
- Communicate closely with servers, support staff, management, and the culinary team regarding seating, guest needs, and service timing.
- Answer restaurant telephone calls and assist guests with reservations, hours, menu questions, and general restaurant information.
- Maintain accurate reservation and guest information within the restaurant’s reservation system.
- Monitor dining-room availability and strategically manage seating to balance server sections and support smooth service.
- Recognize special occasions, VIP guests, dietary notes, and other reservation details and communicate them to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional host station throughout the shift.
- Assist with light front-of-house support duties as needed during periods of high volume.
- Maintain knowledge of current menus, restaurant offerings, hotel amenities, and special events so that guest questions can be answered confidently.
- Provide a warm and gracious farewell and help ensure each guest leaves with a positive final impression.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, hotel, customer-service, or hospitality experience preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Dependable and punctual, with consistent availability for morning shifts.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm, attentive, and guest-focused.
- Experience with restaurant reservation systems is a plus.
- A genuine interest in hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
Schedule
This is primarily a morning position, supporting breakfast and brunch operations. Weekend and holiday availability is important due to the nature of restaurant and hotel operations.
Both full-time and part-time candidates may be considered.
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
