About the Role
Sandt's Honey Company is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Administrator to support our day-to-day operations. This role is central to keeping our office running smoothly and our inventory records accurate, with a particular focus on managing product and supply data through Sage Inventory. The ideal candidate is a proactive multitasker who thrives handling a diverse range of responsibilities in a small business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily office operations, including correspondence, filing, scheduling, and general administrative support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using Sage Inventory (or Sage 50/Sage 100, as applicable)
- Track incoming raw materials (honey, packaging, labels, jars, etc.) and outgoing finished products
- Reconcile inventory counts and assist with periodic physical inventory audits
- Generate inventory reports for management, including stock levels, reorder points, and usage trends
- Process purchase orders and coordinate with vendors and suppliers
- Assist with order fulfillment coordination between sales, warehouse, and shipping
- Support basic bookkeeping tasks such as invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and expense tracking
- Answer phones, respond to customer and vendor inquiries, and route communications appropriately
- Maintain office supplies and equipment
- Assist ownership/management with special projects, reporting, and administrative needs as they arise
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all warehouse activities
Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- 1+ years of office administration or inventory management experience
- Proficiency in Sage Inventory (or comparable Sage accounting/inventory software) required
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced small business setting
- Experience in food production, agriculture, or a related industry is a plus, but not required
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with a small team
Work Environment
This position is based on-site at Sandt's Honey Company and may involve occasional light lifting (e.g., moving product boxes for inventory counts) and time spent in both office and warehouse/production areas.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting at $20/hour, with opportunities for growth based on experience and performance.
Pay: $41,600.00 - $52,000.00 per year
