We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the line cooks during meal preparation, ensuring efficient workflow and timely service.
- Oversee food handling procedures, maintaining strict adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist in menu planning and recipe development to ensure consistency and innovation in dishes served.
- Coordinate food preparation activities, including chopping, cooking, plating, and garnishing, to meet quality benchmarks.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on knife skills, food presentation, cooking techniques, and proper food handling practices.
- Ensure all food service operations comply with health regulations and safety protocols.
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of menu items while maintaining quality standards.
Experience
- Proven dietary department experience or dietary aide experience is highly desirable.
- Extensive restaurant experience with a focus on fine dining or upscale food service environments.
- Strong culinary experience including food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly.
- Demonstrated proficiency in food handling safety practices and sanitation procedures.
- Skilled in menu planning, catering preparation, and serving a variety of cuisines.
- Excellent knife skills with the ability to prepare ingredients efficiently and precisely.
- Prior kitchen experience within the food industry that highlights leadership capabilities in a fast-paced setting.
