Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Lead and motivate a team of sales associates to achieve sales goals and deliver excellent customer service.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales potential.
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction and fostering loyalty.
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new employees.
- Maintain accurate cash handling, POS transactions, payroll processing, and bookkeeping records.
- Implement marketing strategies and promotional displays to boost store visibility and sales performance.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS technology, and retail math calculations.
- Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques.
- Ability to handle cash handling procedures accurately and perform bookkeeping tasks efficiently.
- Exceptional organizational skills with time management expertise to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience in employee orientation, training & development, and implementing store policies.
- Knowledge of merchandising, stock control, marketing initiatives, and retail sales strategies.
