Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our vibrant fast-casual restaurant (similar to TGIF, Chilis, IHOP, Applebee's), specializing in breakfast, bar and grill cuisine. This role demands a passionate leader with a proven track record in restaurant management, exceptional customer service, and team development. Duties
- Lead and manage all restaurant operations, including food service, bar operations, and kitchen management to ensure smooth daily functioning.
- Supervise staff training, development, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and skilled team.
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and quality control protocols.
- Manage POS systems such as Toast POS for accurate order processing, cash handling, and sales reporting.
- Control inventory levels through effective stock management techniques including ordering, receiving, and storage of food and beverage supplies.
- Implement budgeting strategies and monitor financial performance to meet profit goals while controlling costs.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and maintaining a lively, welcoming atmosphere.
- Conduct shift management duties including scheduling staff shifts, supervising team members, and ensuring operational consistency during all hours of operation.
- Oversee food production processes including cooking, food handling, and presentation to uphold high standards of culinary excellence.
- Maintain compliance with health regulations related to food safety and sanitation practices across the restaurant and bar areas.
- Coordinate catering events or banquet services as needed to expand revenue streams.
- Lead staff hiring efforts through interviewing candidates and selecting top talent aligned with our service standards.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within quick service or casual restaurants is required; previous fine dining or hotel experience is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and culinary standards.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Toast or Tray POS for sales transactions and reporting.
- Strong background in inventory control, budgeting, cash handling, and food safety compliance.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in hospitality or food service environments.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally.
- Experience managing staff training programs and developing team members for growth within the organization.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and operational excellence.
