St. Mark's School seeks candidates for the position of On-Call Substitute Teacher across all academic disciplines. We welcome applications from educators, professionals, graduate students, retirees, and others who enjoy working with adolescents in a dynamic school environment.
Substitute teachers provide coverage for faculty absences on an as-needed basis. While occasional longer-term assignments may arise, most opportunities involve full- or partial-day coverage for one or two days at a time. This is an hourly, part-time position reporting to the Dean of Faculty. The current pay rate is $25 per hour.

Responsibilities include:
- Following lesson plans and instructions provided by the classroom teacher.

Supervising classroom activities and maintaining an orderly, productive learning environment.

Supporting student engagement and learning throughout the school day.

Promoting respectful interactions and upholding school expectations.

Communicating effectively with students, faculty, and administrators regarding classroom activities and any concerns that arise.

Providing appropriate supervision during assigned duties and transitions.
