Canopie is a digital maternal health company supporting pregnant and postpartum individuals through structured, evidence-based support, education, and care navigation. We meet members where they are offering fully virtual access to coaching, classes, and clinical resources across the perinatal journey.

What You'll Do-
Provide ongoing virtual doula support across pregnancy and postpartum, grounded in emotional support, education, and preparation

Conduct onboarding and proactive outreach using structured workflows and communication tools

Deliver 1:1 sessions and contribute to group-based education (e.g., birth preparation, postpartum recovery, feeding, newborn care)

Educate members and families on the childbirth process, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and feeding options

Support members in developing birth preferences and preparing for labor and delivery

Share practical tools for comfort, including breathing techniques, relaxation strategies, and other coping methods

Help members navigate conversations with partners and healthcare providers to support informed, aligned decision-making

Build trust and understand individual needs through ongoing, relationship-based support

Encourage engagement with Canopie services and reinforce care plans aligned with coaching and clinical teams

Identify when additional clinical or lactation support may be beneficial and follow defined referral pathways

Document all interactions clearly and efficiently within Canopie’s platform

Communicate with members via phone, video, and secure messaging
Requirements

Fluent Spanish speaker (spoken and written)

Certified Doula (DONA or equivalent)

Experience supporting individuals through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum

Comfortable delivering virtual support and building rapport in a digital environment

Strong communication skills with a supportive, grounded presence

Ability to balance warmth with clear, practical guidance

Comfortable following structured workflows and engagement protocols

Strong digital literacy (telehealth platforms, documentation tools, messaging)

Reliable, organized, and responsive in a remote work setting
Preferred

Experience providing virtual doula care or telehealth support
-
2–5+ years of doula or perinatal support experience
-
Experience working with Spanish-speaking or immigrant communities
-
Additional certifications (e.g., lactation support, childbirth education)
Schedule & Commitment

Part-time contractor role (approximately 20 hours/week; varies by program needs)

Availability during business hours required; evening and weekend availability is a plus
