HR Generalist

Hours: M-F 8:00am -5:00pm, on-site in Dallas, TX
Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000 (annually + benefits)
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Organizational Development Department. The HR Generalist manages the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: department development, HRIS management and maintenance, employee relations, training and development, benefits, reporting, organizational development, recruitment and placement.
Responsibilities:

Oversee, review and manage applicant in-take process

Review, maintain and update job descriptions

Maintain an active list of current job openings
- Electronically and manually file important documents

Provide general customer service for employee calls

Manage and/or participate in internal and external audits (401(k), Workers Compensation, etc.)

Manage the Employee Benefits & Wellness Program
-
Assist with the implementation of the Performance Management Program

Working in tandem with ReadyToWork® train staff on Paycom, ancillary systems and programs or projects

Acts as Workers Compensation administrator

Maintain and process employee-related paperwork

Maintain calendar and schedule of OD-related meetings

Manage the HRIS System- Paycom
-
Complete, update and post weekly, monthly, quarterly reports

Maintain inventory of office forms and documents

Create basic forms and documents for use within the department and company

Contact applicants, new hires, and recently terminated employees
-
Assist with preparation of materials for training, events, meetings, etc.

Manage Organizational Development calendar including but not limited to training dates, audit dates, processing dates, etc.

Provide administrative support to ReadyToWork® as needed

Develop and recommend operating policy and procedural improvements

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Education & Experience- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. At least 2 years of human resources experience. PHR and SPHR are preferred.

Language Skills- Ability to read, write and speak in English with proficiency. Knowledge of basic grammatical rules. Ability to take dictation, compose letters and memos, and to proofread for errors. Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines and pertinent federal and state employment and benefit laws. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Computer-related Skills- Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Ability to navigate the Internet. Ability to produce reports in Excel. Functional knowledge of database management and Access is desired. Ability to operate business machines such as phone systems, facsimiles, copiers, and scanners.

Mathematical Skills- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Knowledge of basic mathematical functions such as identifying the mean, median, mode and range of a set or sets of data.

Reasoning Ability- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to make effective and proactive decisions based on commonly acceptable practices and expectations.

Physical Requirements- This position requires the employee to be able to sit for extended periods of consecutive time, walk for short distances throughout the day, and stand for extended periods of time. This position may require working extended hours.
