Job Summary

Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including assistant managers and sales associates, to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and purchasing to optimize product availability and reduce shrinkage.
- Oversee cash handling, cashiering procedures, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to guarantee accuracy and security.
- Implement effective merchandising strategies to enhance product presentation and sales opportunities.
- Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to build a knowledgeable and motivated team.
- Handle scheduling, shift management, and time management tasks to ensure proper coverage during store hours.
- Engage in recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates and participating in hiring decisions to build a strong team.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in compliance with company policies.
- Utilize retail math skills for sales analysis, pricing strategies, budgeting, and sales management to meet store goals.
- Foster a welcoming environment through excellent communication skills, phone etiquette, and customer service excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory or assistant manager experience within retail or grocery store environments.
- Strong management skills with experience in team leadership, training & development, and employee orientation.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling.
- Knowledge of POS systems, retail math, merchandising techniques, and retail sales strategies.
- Ability to handle negotiations with vendors or suppliers effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience with marketing initiatives and promotional activities is a plus.
