This position is responsible for operating a Konica/Minolta Accuriojet KM-1 press. This stack feeding digital press utilizes up to a 23x29 inch sheet. It is a variable print data capable unit that requires a different level of user programmable knowledge that is software driven.
Operate, maintain, clean and perform repairs on KM-1 digital press.
Implement use of a spectrophotometer to make adjustments on KM-1 digital press.
Knowledgeable in setting the press up in, and changing between, simplex and duplex configurations.
Ability to program jobs, load paper, ink and monitor print and data quality throughout the press run.
Ability to run various stock sizes and weights.
Determine proper utilization of various substrates for the best possible outcomes.
Manage inventory control of print media, ink and consumables for KM-1.
Ability to use a pallet jack to move and load up to approximately 750 pounds.
Knowledge of pre-press and bindery environments is helpful.
High school or GED equivalent and three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Read work order to determine job instructions and set up specifications.
Regularly required to lift or move up to 25pounds.
Appropriately package materials for delivery.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend solutions.
Understands the important nature of achieving objectives assigned, and meeting commitments made by the Legislative Publications Office.
Willingness to cross-train/assist in other areas of the Legislative Publications Office.
Noise level in the work area is usually moderate to elevated. Ear protection is provided.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving parts.
Some mild chemicals or odor exposure may be present.
Ability to work overtime in evenings and weekends as needed.
