Job Summary
We are a premier towing, recovery, and specialized transport company operating the newest, nicest, and most meticulously maintained fleet of trucks in the North Shore area. We don't chase low-paying motor club junk cars. Instead, we specialize in high-end, luxury, and exotic vehicle transport, with the vast majority of our volume coming directly from elite dealerships, private specialty repair facilities, premium manufacturers, and law enforcement/municipal rotations.
We expect top-tier, damage-free execution and professional customer service from our team. In return, we invest heavily in our guys. Your truck will be a late-model, premium rig stocked with every piece of high-end equipment, strapping, and specialized tool you need to do your job safely, efficiently, and comfortably. We offer excellent weekly hourly pay, guaranteed overtime, and a flexible scheduling environment where we treat our drivers like professionals.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Elite Transport Execution: Safely load, secure, transport, and unload high-end luxury, exotic, and standard vehicles. Total attention to detail is required to ensure 100% damage-free transport on every single call.
- Prompt Scene Response: Respond to dealership requests, manufacturer dispatches, and local police/municipal recovery scenes efficiently and professionally.
- Digital Call Management: Utilize Towbook on a company-provided mobile device to accurately document, log, photograph, and close out your service calls in real-time.
- Professional Client Interaction: Serve as the face of our brand. Handle all clients, dealership staff, and law enforcement officers with absolute courtesy, professionalism, and respect, even in high-stress situational environments.
- Equipment & Fleet Pride: Maintain the absolute cleanliness, organization, and fluid maintenance of your assigned truck. We run premium equipment, and we expect our operators to keep their rigs and the shop looking top-tier during down times.
- Operational Readiness: Be prepared for situational overtime. While we respect your schedule and offer excellent shift consistency, police rotations and dealership timelines mean some days will run late.
Requirements & Experience (Non-Negotiable)
- Proven Towing Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of professional tow truck, rollback/flatbed, or recovery experience. You must be completely self-sufficient on day one; we do not have the time or overhead to train beginners.
- Valid Illinois Class C License (or Better): Must hold a valid IL Class C license or commercial equivalent (CDL) with a completely clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Spotless Background: A clean criminal record is strictly required to pass background checks for local police and municipal towing clearance.
- Transmission Proficiency: Absolute fluency in operating vehicles with manual transmissions (stick shift). You will be handling high-end and vintage vehicles that require this skill.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong baseline mechanical knowledge or prior experience in automotive repair/diagnostics is highly preferred (previous experience as a mechanic is a major plus).
- Drug-Free: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in random drug testing.
- Proximity: Must live within 30 minutes of Highland Park, IL, to accommodate emergency dispatches, response times, and take-home truck privileges.
