Material Planner
Day Shift - 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Rate: $20 - $21/hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Material Planner to write work orders based on customer demand, follow jobs in progress and effectively communicate with purchasing, manufacturing and customers in order to assure timely production and delivery of manufactured parts.
MATERIAL PLANNER - A supply chain professional to work with production to track and trace product to meet the customer's demand.
Job Duties:
- Write up jobs per customer demand
- Monitoring jobs to ensure parts are shipped on time
- Walking on the manufacturing floor to follow-up on jobs not moving
- Working with purchasing to make sure material is delivered on time for processing
- Collaborating with customers
- Identifying and resolving issues, shortages, and disruptions
Essential Skills:
- To interpret data, forecast needs, and identify trends
- To liaise effectively with suppliers and internal teams, like Ford Motor Co.
- Knowledge for MPR and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
- Knowledge of a manufacturing environment
- Able to read a print
- Detail ordinated
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Excel
- Ability to multi-task
This position is contract-to-hire after 30-60 days with good performance and attendance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
