American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position requiring at least one year of recent Med/Surg experience and the ability to manage higher patient ratios.

Inpatient Medical Surgical unit with an oncology focus
-
Patient ratios of 1:6 or 1:7; experience with higher patient ratios is required
-
Telemetry monitoring and IV insertion are performed on this unit
-
EMR systems used are Cerner and Soarian
-
Shift is days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; 3x12-hour shifts preferred, 4x12-hour shifts will also be considered

Every other weekend (EOW) requirement
-
13-week assignment with possibility of extension

Block scheduling is considered
-
Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required

Current BLS certification required
-
Telemetry experience required
-
IV insertion skills required

Minimum one year of recent Med/Surg experience required

Experience managing patient ratios of 1:6 or higher required

Oncology experience highly preferred

Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Two professional references required for consideration

Royal blue scrubs are required and are not provided by the facility

Minimal to no RTO; any time-off requests must be disclosed upfront

Candidates residing within 30 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position

Candidates residing between 31–50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a local pay rate

First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded; previous travel experience is preferred but not required
