Job Duties
- Conduct electrical and hydraulic system troubleshooting, identifying and resolving technical problems promptly.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Install, modify, and upgrade electrical and hydraulic components and systems based on specifications and project requirements.
- Collaborate with the team to diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic faults on inland marine workboats, industrial equipment, and commercial systems.
- Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Conduct tests, measurements, and diagnostic procedures to assess the performance and functionality of electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and installations, documenting all work performed in compliance with company procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, sharing knowledge and expertise as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Electrical/Hydraulic Technician Job Requirements
- Valid Driver License and reliable transportation
- TWIC Card or ability to procure a TWIC card
- Experience with electrical and/or hydraulic systems is preferred - but we are open to training motivated individuals with mechanical aptitude.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals (a plus).
- Willingness to work in the field and on workboats as required.
- Strong work ethic
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work weekends and nights (as requested by customers)
