American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 12-week assignment in an inpatient rehabilitation and acute care setting at a Level 2 Trauma Center in Independence, MO.

Inpatient rehabilitation unit (16-bed) and acute care setting within a 285-bed Level 2 Trauma Center
-
Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
-
Weekend rotation of 1 weekend every 6 weeks, with flex days off on weekdays when working weekends
-
Patient ratios: 12:1 in acute care, 4-5:1 in inpatient rehab

EMR: Meditech
-
No on-call requirements
-
Team of 14 OT staff, including 11 acute care OTs and 4 rehab OTs on day shift

12-week contract
-
Active OT license required (license required if applicable)

Minimum 2 years of OT experience, with active practice within the last 6 months
-
Acute care and/or inpatient rehab experience preferred

Two professional references required for this Missouri-based position

US SSN and DOB required for consideration

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Perform evaluations and treatments, including ADLs and mobility

Utilize rehab gym equipment and standard rehabilitation supplies

Eggplant-colored scrubs required

Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
