Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Door/Porter Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our residents and guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining security and safety protocols. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage various situations with professionalism.
Greeting tenants and guests
- Providing continuous tenant service presence at the desk, front doors and lobby.
- Opening doors and managing packages and deliveries.
- Assuring that all tenants may enjoy the common areas, including the lobby, fitness room, and laundry room.
- Providing watchful building security throughout shift
- Working closely with, communicating and alerting the building superintendent of any irregularity.
- Recording all tenant issues and requests and taking immediate steps to begin to address them.
- Maintaining the public areas, especially the lobby, elevators, package and mailrooms and other common areas.
- Maintain immaculate appearance of the lobby, hallways, elevators, and public spaces (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampoo carpets, polishing).
- Regularly dispose of trash and recyclables from building facilities.
- Assist with minor building repairs, replacing light bulbs, and assisting the superintendent.
- Keep sidewalks, entrances, stairs, and parking areas clean of debris, snow, or ice.Skills include:
- Excellent communication skills, memory for names and faces and personal warmth toward others.
- Responsive and friendly disposition.
- Tenant-service oriented.
Job Types: Full-time
Pay: $16 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
8-hour shifts
- Monday through Sunday (including weekends)
- Day and afternoon shifts available
- Specific schedule to be discussed during the interview
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (Required)
