Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and cooking tasks following established recipes and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste
- Support heavy lifting and manual handling of ingredients, supplies, and equipment in accordance with safe lifting practices
- Buss tables and clear serving areas promptly to ensure a tidy dining environment
- Handle food running duties by delivering orders efficiently from the kitchen to guests’ tables
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and transactions
- Follow food safety protocols related to food handling, storage, and preparation to ensure compliance with health regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation techniques, and safety standards
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and in-person customer service
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience in banquet settings or hotel kitchens is a plus
- Demonstrated commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction
