Job Description
Linton Hall School is seeking a dedicated preschool teacher to join our school grounded in Benedictine values. The ideal candidates will stimulate the intellectual, physical, and emotional growth and development for children ages three to five.
Essential Job Functions

Interacts with parents, administration, co-workers, and school community in a manner that is professional and reflective of the charism of the Benedictine Sisters of VA

Develop and implement a program/curriculum consistent with the priorities and philosophy of the school. Revise curriculum as necessary. Reference the appropriate age group scope and sequence and progress report to assist with goals and objectives in planning

Provide for an environment that is developmentally appropriate and that meets the needs of individual children as well as the group.

Create a stimulating and inviting learning environment (organized space, variety of activities, etc.)

Provide hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities in language arts, math, science and social skills

Foster independence

Communicates effectively in speech and writing
- Responds to parent questions and concerns in a prompt manner

Serves on committees as necessary, attends school functions at times outside of typical hours
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field or working toward degree preferred
